The Scorpion is a very quiet and harmonic Helicopter made for competition - 3D and sport flying as well. The Scorpion can be ordert as an ARF w.OS MAX 91-SHZ and Zimmermann Pipe. Or the Scorpion can be ordert as an ARF w. OS MAX 91-SHZ and Zimmermann Pipe and Electronic equipment. Nielsen - Aluminium Composite System Nielsen - ACS – Scorpion Consist of: An Aluminium -, A Tail -, A Carbon - and A Glass fibre section. - The Aluminium Section is the Heart of the Helicopter and form the base for the Engine and the Transmission.- In that way the Engine have a solid and a stable base. - All Bearings are glued into position, which means no bad tolerances and the Bearings will last for a long time. - The Main Rotor Shaft has four Ball Bearings, two Spindle - and two Thrust Bearings. The two Spindle Bearings are placed with 10- cm. spacing, which means minimal load. Between these are placed the Trust Bearings to take the positive and negative G. forces. - The Tail Section consists of a 24-mm alu.tube and an alu. Tail Rotor gear housing. A 6-mm steel tube stabilised with two bearings drives the Tail rotor. - The Carbon Section makes the base for the Aluminium and the Glass fibre Section. The Section is made of 2mm very twist stable Carbon Plate. These together with a stable construction of the Section prevent resonance in the Helicopter. - The Glass fibre Section is designed with the purpose of making a good looking and aerodynamic Fuselage. - Furthermore the Fuselage and the rotor head are balanced in a way that means a very little control input in for example pirouettes. - The Aluminium – and Carbon Parts are produced on CNC Machines, The Glass fibre Parts is good workmanship.
